Origin: Kenya, Gura, Nyeri County
Bean: SL28 & SL34
Process: Washed
SCA: 87.75
Taste: Mango, red cherry and brown sugar
This is a special bean from Nyeri, sourced from the Gura AA cooperative. Compared to Ethiopian beans, Kenyan beans are larger and grown at lower altitudes. Kenyan beans are also graded by size and uniformity. The largest and most uniform beans are labeled "AA."
The Gura AA is a beautiful example of a beautifully washed Kenyan coffee, but with a tropical twist. In the cup, you'll taste notes of mango and red cherry , rounded out by a sweet hint of brown sugar . This combination creates a lively, fruity, and balanced flavor experience typical of top coffees from Nyeri.
